Necessity of making a prototyping

(1) Inspection of design

Prototyping is not only visible, but also touchable. It can intuitively reflect the designer’s creativity in the form of physical objects, avoiding the disadvantages of “drawing good-looking and making it look bad”. Therefore, the production of prototypes is essential in the development of new products and the scrutiny of product appearance.

(2) Inspection The Structure Of Design

Because the prototype is assembleable, it can intuitively reflect the rationality of the structure and the ease of installation. Facilitate early detection and resolution of problems.

(3) Avoid the risk of directly opening the mold.

Because the cost of mold manufacturing is generally high, relatively large molds cost hundreds of thousands or even millions. If an unreasonable structure or other problems are found during the mold opening process, the losses can be think about it. Prototyping can avoid this loss and reduce the risk of mold opening.

(4) Make the product launch time much earlier

Because of the advanced nature of the production of prototypes, you can use the prototypes to promote the products before the mold is developed, and even the early sales and production preparations can occupy the market as soon as possible.

Prototyping can be divided into manual prototyping and CNC prototyping according to the production methods:

    (A) Manual prototyping: The main workload is done manually.

    (B) CNC prototyping: Its main workload is completed by numerical control machine tools. Depending on the equipment used, it can be divided into laser rapid prototyping and machining center (CNC) prototyping.

The advantages of the CNC prototype are reflected in that it can accurately reflect the information expressed in the drawings, and the surface quality of the CNC prototype is high, especially after the surface spraying and screen printing are completed, and even the product produced after opening the mold is more glorious. Therefore, CNC prototype manufacturing has increasingly become the mainstream of prototype manufacturing.
