MVG launches SG Evo, which greatly improves the test speed and accuracy of the SG multi-probe system

MVG, an expert in wireless connection testing, recently announced the launch of SG Evo. This is a multi-probe spherical near-field antenna measurement system, which is mainly used for heavy-duty equipment under test and high-precision applications in satellite communications, telecommunications, aerospace and other fields.

The innovation of SG Evo improves the test speed and accuracy of the MVG SG system. The new system integrates the over-sampling positioning function in the arch bridge, eliminating the need to tilt the device under test during over-sampling, so even when testing heavy-duty devices under test, it avoids the gravity deflection of the device under test and the azimuth locator. In addition, SG Evo can be configured with multiple parallel receivers, which greatly reduces the measurement time, especially when testing a large number of frequencies or devices with many potential antenna beam states.

SG Evo also has a modular design, which can be constructed flexibly. The size of the probe array arch bridge and the locator module can be determined according to the typical size and weight of the device under test, and multiple sets of probes can be selected according to the frequency under test (400 MHz to 30 GHz). SG Evo is suitable for a wide range of applications and is very useful in all stages of testing, from initial prototype testing in R&D to final verification testing of fully integrated equipment in production. In addition, both passive antenna measurement and OTA testing are applicable to SG Evo.
