The Bluetooth SIG recently announced Auracast. Solutions will start rolling out this year. To enjoy Auracast, both ends (transmitter and receiver) need to be compliant. Thankfully, most modern smartphones already have the necessary features and can be upgraded with software updates. However, even older devices like TVs that don’t have a suitable software upgrade method can easily be enhanced with an Auracast bridge plug-in or adapter.
