Heart rate and blood oxygen saturation, as important life indicators of the human body, can directly reflect the health status of various tissues of the human body. Based on this feature, more and more wearable devices use these two tests as “standard equipment” to play an auxiliary role in health management.Based on the PixArt PAH8009 and CSR BC417 chips, the heart rate and blood oxygen detection solution launched by Dalian Daquan Ding can provide stable performance for the system and realize real-time health monitoring and management.

On July 21, 2022, Dalian General Holdings, a leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary Quanding has launched a heart rate and blood oxygen detection solution based on PixArt’s PAH8009+CSR BC417 chip .

In the data acquisition part, the PAH8009 used in this solution is a new generation of low-cost PPG sensors under PixArt. It integrates CMOS sensors, analog processing/digital control circuits, light-emitting diodes and other modules. Moreover, the skin color detection compensation mechanism and algorithm integrated in the chip can also automatically adapt to different skin colors. In addition, PAH8009 also has excellent resistance to ambient light, so it can maintain excellent performance whether indoors or outdoors. In terms of Bluetooth connection, this solution adopts the mature MCU of CSR – BC417. Through this product, the data detected by the solution can be connected with the intelligent mobile terminal, so as to be displayed and recorded on the APP in real time.
